Starlights Dun It, "Lena" was sent to train under the very talented and outstanding rider, Ty Mason. These photos were taken after only about 17 rides (30 days) with Ty, when the owners went to pick her up. At this point, Ty entered Lena in a little yearly "family competition" against his father and sister, who are also trainers. All three took the best horses they were currently training and brought in a judge from Nevada. They competed in Reining, Fence Work and Roping. The other two competitor's horses had more than 2 months of training each, with over 30 each. Due to Lena's exceptional ability to handle stress and learn and absorb her training so quickly, combined with her incredible athleticism, she won hands down, and enjoyed herself doing it. And, on top of that, Lena loves people!

Tex was taken out when he was 3 months old with several other horses to check cows in the desert, allowed to run loose at his mother's side. When the herd was within sight, he left the rest of the horses at a run, straight for the herd of cattle, and began trying to cut a cow out of the herd. Cow-sense is bred in!
